Take thirty minutes of time with pad and paper and a good cup of coffee and map out your business cycle.  It could be an annual cycle, quarterly, or even monthly.  Take note of when the busiest months of the year are for your business.  When are the slowest months of the year.  What goods and services could you provide during the slow months that would help the overall bottom line? How could you build brand awareness to help bridge these slow times? 

Create an outline (or use one of ours) of your business cycle.  Look for untapped opportunities to grow your business by keeping your customers engaged throughout the year.
                                                                        
Perhaps, promoting smaller orders during slow times will help to increase overall sales during that time period.  Or, offering unique services or seasonal holiday related services. Singing telegram, floral delivery, special lunches, etc for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Secretary's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, Father's Day, or Fourth of July.  Participating in community events is another way to expand customer base.
